Dance Music

Is the shit!

I can't get enough of it. That constant, pounding beat, you can't help but dance to it. If the mood in a room is dragging and lacking that oomf, put on Pjanoo by Eric Prydz, it'll do the trick.

Of course my favorite of all time, Daft Punk. Always puts me in a good mood.

Much Love

Ups and Downs

What makes us enjoy the good times? The bad times. Today was a tough day, but it will make the week seem better. More like the month.

The world lost a beautiful person recently. There was nothing I'd rather do than celebrate her life today.

RIP

La'kquer - HIGH GLOSS

Here's a link to La'kquer's album on itunes....Give it a listen.

Wow, i'm a tool

I was all excited and ready to get this blog deal going. Didn't really happen, but that's okay. I'm not too worried about it.

I see my last entry was about Paramore's song "Ignorance". Though I did say it fits too well with RIOT!, it's definitely grown on me. And after hearing the rest of "Brand New Eyes" I like it's niche on the new album.

If you haven't listened to Paramore's latest material, you need to check it out. A few songs really surprised me. I'll add they're all pleasant surprises. "The Only Exception" and "Misguided Ghosts" are absolutely beautiful. Kind of a side of Paramore we haven't seen. And I love it. I think this album showed the band, mostly Hayley's, versatility. Hayley's voice is awe-inspiring. She continues to improve and reach new levels.

Not to mention she's fucking adorable.

Fall's a great time for new music. Keep your eyes and ears open for some stellar new albums. Speaking of, this comedic-group out of Fort Collins just released they're first album. They're called La'kquer. The album is HIGH GLOSS and it's available on itunes. They're funny as hell, quite vulgar, but it's some funny shit.

Til next time.....

Ignorance

the song's good, but I feel like it fits in too perfectly into Riot! I'm hoping they hit me with some crazy shit i've never heard before on the rest of the album. I'm pretty stoked to hear it.

Still love Hayley, looks amazing in this video.

a crush of mine...

Hayley Williams, lead singer of Paramore.  I've had a crush on her since I first saw them way back when.  She's adorable, and talented as hell.

Paramore's new album comes out next month, pretty stoked.  I need some new tunes from them, their first two albums (All We Know is Falling & Riot!) were both sick as shit.  I've just listened to all the songs far too many times.  It's my own fault.

Tattoo

Here's my new ink.  Got it about three weeks ago.  I love it.  (sorry for the poor picture, took it with my phone in bad lighting and my chest is way too oiled up, what can i say?)

Pineapple Express....

This summary is not available. Please click here to view the post.

Keep your eyes open

Here's what's gonna go down.  Every once in a while I'm going to reveal a small excerpt from my journal.  Now I only wrote in this journal for roughly 2 years.  Maybe less than that, but it was the time period in which i learned the most about myself, and what I wanted (and didn't want) out of life.

Now obviously I'm not going to reveal everything.  Because I did write EVERYTHING in this journal.

Some things are better left unsaid.

Peace

Tropic Thunder.....

Saw 'Tropic Thunder' in theaters, wasn't at all impressed.  I thought it was ridiculously over the top.  After further thought, I realized that it's my own fault I didn't enjoy the movie because of the hype I built up in my head.  I get so excited about all these titles being released, that if it isn't an extraordinary film, I feel as though it's crap.
Since I came to this realization, I try to recall all of these 'disappointments' and re-watch them with a, how do i say this? open mind? clearer head?
Needless to say, these movies aren't so bad.  I find the little, enjoyable aspects of each.  It makes every movie experience entertaining.

It's all part of being a positive individual.
